We are seeking a Configuration Management Specialist to oversee and refine the configuration management of our products from inception through to full production readiness. This pivotal role involves working closely with a cross-functional team and requires a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
Responsibilities:
· Engage with project managers, engineers, production supervisors, and subcontractors on a daily basis to ensure smooth operational flow. · Develop product trees that include hierarchies of part numbers, and manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs). · Develop and implement tools and processes to enhance configuration management workflows. · Support system engineers by providing expertise in mechanical and electronic supplies concerning product configuration management. · Oversee project requirements and track document changes to ensure readiness for full production. · Establish and maintain configuration management procedures, including those for software.
Requirements:
· Engineer / Practical Engineer in Electronics, Mechanics, or a related field. · At least two years of experience in configuration management or control, preferably within the defense industry. · Proficiency in Excel. · Prior experience with Priority ERP system is advantageous. · Demonstrable experience in developing multidisciplinary product portfolios and interpreting mechanical and electrical diagrams. · Experience in drafting procedures and instructions for configuration control in development and production settings. · Familiarity with AS9100 quality standards – an advantage.
