The opportunity
The Senior Manager of Forecasting provides forecasts, analysis, and actionable insights that enable goal setting and lead to the achievement of strategic and financial objectives for the Innovative Medicines division including CNS portfolio (Austedo, Uzedy, Ajovy), as well as Established Brands across different TAs. Core responsibilities include developing forecasts, long-range plans, and supply plans, and advising commercial leadership. The role involves collaboration with Insights/Analytics, Marketing/Brand, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and Medical. Communicating forecasts in clear and concise narratives is critical to successfully educating the organization on products’ performance trajectory and shaping brand strategy.
Candidate to be hired needs to be onsite out of our Parsippany, NJ or West Chester, Pennsylvania three days a week
Key Duties:
Develop models for sales trending, forecasting, business planning, and long-range planning.
Provide forecast outputs to Finance, Marketing, Sales Operations, and Supply Planners for use in official financial forecasts, sales quotas and incentive comp, and supply plan forecasts.
Support the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process reviews.
Work closely with the US Innovative Medicines team on development of inline forecasts by product (Austedo, Uzedy, Ajovy, etc.) across various therapeutic areas.
Develop new forecasting tools and optimize existing models. Share and engage with all region’s best practices in Forecasting, tools, and technology.
Lead cross-functional teams to determine appropriate forecast model designs, formulate key assumptions, and align with business partners.
Proactively identify forecasting needs, develop plans, and provide input into business development, business planning, and budgeting processes for key activities.
Triangulate forecasting models based on alternative approaches including trends/events and bottom-up modelling.
Work cross-functionally to bring appropriate analogues/historical knowledge to project impact of promotional efforts, market access changes, competitive events, scientific developments, regulatory evolution, etc.
Your experience and qualifications
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical or healthcare industry experience. Inline/pipeline forecasting preferred. (Data Analytics, Consulting, Investment Banking, and Equity Research backgrounds also encouraged to apply.)
Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Analytics, Economics preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Intellectual curiosity to go beyond the numbers/bring strategic ideas and insights.
Patient or Script forecasting experience
MBA or master’s degree in Analytics/Statistics a plus
Strong technical skills to build forecasting tools, leverage secondary data and rollout to US Innovative Medicines team.
Ability to collect forecasting data from models and organize for data lake consolidation platform.
Proven excellent communication and collaborative skills.
Industry knowledge, understanding of regulatory environment, and good grasp of access dynamics.
