We are looking for a talented Optics Inspector to join the Operations Quality group.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing measuring protocols for optical and mechanical parts.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough inspections of optic components to ensure they meet quality specifications and standards
Identify and document any defects, discrepancies, or non-conformities during the inspection process
Utilize various inspection tools and equipment to accurately assess the quality of optic components
Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions as needed
Maintain accurate records of inspection results and documentation for quality assurance purposes
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality control processes and procedures
Collaborate with optical and mechanical engineers to define specifications, dimensions, and tolerances for quality control according to GD&T standards
Technical alignment and communication with manufacturers on measurement methods and processes, including required fixtures and set-ups.

Proven experience in quality inspection, preferably in the optics industry
Strong understanding of optical principles and components
Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators
Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects and discrepancies
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to quality improvement.
