As the Monetization PM, youll be responsible for developing and executing monetization strategies, optimizing ad placements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance revenue streams while ensuring a seamless user experience.
We are looking for someone with expertise in mobile monetization, including both mobile web and in-app advertising, combined with a deep understanding of ad tech, mobile user behavior, and engagement metrics.
What are some of the things you will do on a day-to-day basis?
Develop and own the monetization strategy for the News Wallpaper product, focusing on driving revenue growth.
Manage the product lifecycle end-to-end: ideation, validation, A/B testing, data analysis, collaborating with R&D, writing specs, launching, and iterating based on results.
Assess and prioritize feature requests and product enhancements to maximize impact.
Develop and maintain product roadmaps, outlining timelines for upcoming releases and feature launches.
Collaborate with design, engineering and monetization teams to create and launch monetization features that optimize both lock screen interactions and post-click experiences.
Monitor and analyze key metrics to assess product performance and identify areas for improvement, leveraging insights from data and working with analysts.
Implement best practices in digital advertising, including display, native, video ads, and more, to drive optimal monetization strategies.
Manage stakeholder relationships, including executives, customers, and external partners, ensuring alignment on product goals and progress.
Commit to results and regularly report on progress to company leadership and present key findings and results on a quarterly basis.
Stay informed on industry trends and innovations, particularly within the Google ad ecosystem, to ensure our monetization approach is competitive.
What are the skills a good Product Manager needs to have?
3-4 years of product management experience with a focus on mobile products and monetization.
Strong understanding of digital advertising models, including Google Ads, display advertising, programmatic, native ads, and sponsored content.
Proven experience in developing and executing monetization strategies for mobile products.
Experience working with advertising technologies such as ad servers, real-time bidding (RTB), and demand-side platforms (DSPs).
Strong knowledge of ad compliance and user privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) is required.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage complex processes across multiple teams and external partners.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
Strong understanding of user experience (UX) principles and their role in monetization.
