About this role…
Sr. Trade Compliance Specialist is responsible for commitment to complying with all trade import/export laws applicable to our operations, reporting directly to Sr. Manager, Global Trade Compliance and dotted to Manager Global Shipping Israel. This role is also responsible for the import and export compliance globally for iTero shipments, establishing efficient trade compliance programs and cross-border operation as well as the responsibility for customs brokerage management and Customs trade compliance relations.
In this role, you will…
Serve as the leader & subject matter expert responsible for import and export compliance for all the regions for areas such as tariff classification, customs valuation, country of origin, customs & internal audit, import/export regulations, and trade risk mitigation.
Supervising trade master data in an automated shipment software and managing issues/claims/ complaints relating to this.
Develop metrics and control reports to ensure that trade and customs activities are optimal according to the commercial activities of our company.
Proactively identify value-added opportunities to improve efficiencies, minimize compliance risks & reduce costs.
Manage and maintain the certifications before the customs authorities in all the relevant countries, territories and clusters that allow the company to simplify procedures for our import and export operations.
Oversee the process of imports and exports of raw materials, finished products, machinery, tools, Return Material Authorization (RMA), purchased or rented equipment that are used in the production process complying with the guidelines established in the customs laws and regulations of Israel (and other relevant countries, territories and clusters), and those related to it.
Work integrally in support of the, Manager Global Shipping Israel and/or to Sr. Manager, Global Trade Compliance
Monitor trade-related regulatory changes across the regions for iTero products and ensure that policy/process updates are made, communicated, and implemented.
Develop, monitor and enforce Aligns Trade Compliance policies, SOP and process.
Design and develop the recordkeeping policy and capabilities, as aligned with other global and regional trade compliance teams. Provide improvements to current recordkeeping globally.
Provide the relevant authorities with information on the foreign trade operation to comply with fiscal and legal obligations of relevant government agencies.
Supervise and keep updated any official documents for audits and internal controls, including records retention requirements.
Other responsibilities, as required collaboration with shipping teams.
MA preferred or BA in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related disciplines.
Above 7 years of related management experience in Supply Chain, Logistics.
Fluent in English and Hebrew. Another European language is a plus.
Knowledge of Local and Global Customs Law and relevant customs systems, trade laws, trade sanctions.
Advanced ability to use computer systems (Excel, Word, SAP).
Minimum 5 years of experience in the area of Foreign Trade and Trade Compliance.
SAP knowledge with strong preference for WH configuration- advantage.
Advanced Excel and analytics capability.
Lean Six Sigma knowledge- advantage.
