Main Responsibilities
As a Delivery Manager your main responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
Deliver the software on time, on scope, on quality, and on budget, using the appropriate Agile project management methodology, and ensure full customer satisfaction as defined in the SOW;
Meeting tight timelines and motivating the team to meet project deadlines;
Managing the projects end-to-end life-cycle activities, including analysis & design, development, testing, implementation and integration;
Managing the projects scheduling, resource planning, budget & time tracking;
Work closely with the customer and the project team to define the gaps for any given requirement and translate them into user stories;
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, facilitate status meetings and present to large groups;
Identify problems, mediate issues, develop solutions, and implement an appropriate course of action;
Build strong relationships with internal customers, stakeholders, and integration teams to ensure delivery is smooth and customer-centric;
Leadership and management of project delivery teams in a distributed global environment, including:
Direct management of Team Leaders and matrix Management of a Delivery multidisciplinary team;
Development and cross-training of the team to further improve technical and business knowledge to help us achieve exceptional results;
Building good relationships with distributed delivery teams across the globe.
At least 5 years of proven experience working in a large software development teams distributed across the globe;
In-depth understanding and experience of the management of the software development life cycle (SDLC) from the initiation of a project plan to full execution;
Excellent communication skills;
Experience of negotiating with customers and clients regarding scope and delivery schedules;
Experience managing dispersed delivery teams in a matrix environment;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
Experience in Waterfall and mainly in Agile delivery and tools (JIRA experience An advantage);
Familiarity with insurance domain / financial services An advantage;
Ability to travel globally.
