The “SME Electrical” is engineering professionals who will act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in key areas like electrical systems, electrical infrastructure and has knowledge of control / instrumentation systems used in pharmaceutical industries.
Responsible to plan, design & implement best in class electrical systems at various sites located across world. Enhance site team members capabilities to address new professional and organizational needs in the field of electrical systems. Provide expert guidance and support to entire network to ensure the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices are in place. Develop and maintain engineering standards and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry expectations. Act as leader of electrical discipline and work with multi-discipline cross functional teams located across world
How you’ll spend your day
Should be able to act as the global electrical SME in API and formulation pharmaceutical industry (Sterile and non-sterile)
Should be able to execute and deliver strategic project phases like feasibility studies, conceptual design, FEED and Detail Design related to electrical systems in pharmaceutical industry independently.
Must be able to prepare, review, comment and approve the engineering deliverables as per project specification, codes and standards.
Should be able to collaborate with other discipline engineers, and design professionals like Process, HVAC, Utility, Architecture, Civil and Automation team, to create electrical deliverables, layouts and electrical load list that adheres to project specifications and standards/local requirements.

Should be capable to plan and implement automation system for electrical facility.
Should have strong knowledge in developing, reviewing and analyzing the electrical (MV and LV) network simulations study results (in ETAP or equivalent authorized software) including short circuit, load flow, harmonic study, arc flash, and relay co-ordination.
Responsible to prepare a list of applicable standards, best practices, datasheet/URS, guidelines etc. and publish them as per plan.
Should have good understanding knowledge on SMP/EMP/Engineering standardization/Master data repository.
Prioritizing safety of personnel by enforcing proper guidelines, best practices and SOP/protocols, especially regarding earthing and ATEX/UL/PESO/CMRI/FM certifies equipment’s in ATEX/hazardous classified area.
Regular collaboration with global functions like (Electrical SMEs, EHS, business partners and with external auditors).
Should be able to lead/organize independently the electrical program like community of practice, publishing newsletters, knowledge sharing sessions and vendor presentations.
